RWP 2017 Kick-Off Reading Event

Time: 7pm – 9:00pm
Location: Gay City: Seattle’s LGBTQ Center (517 E Pike St, Seattle)

(Doors open at 6:30pm)

Working on your NaNoWriMo project? We’ll be hosting an area of the library for you to work. (4th Floor, Room 6)

12:00pm – 1:00pm: Registration and Swag Time (Microsoft Auditorium)

After grabbing your nametag and your swag bag at registration, check out the free book table and meet other attendees who will be joining RWP for the day. The free book table goes fast, so get there early!

Stop by the Gay City table across from registration if you have a LGBT book to donate! We are having a book drive for Gay City’s LGBT Library, and every LGBT book donation earns a raffle ticket and a chance for a prize!

12:00pm – 5:30pm: Read with Pride Book Fest (4th Floor, Room 1)

The bookfest will be open the entire conference. Stop by, grab some swag, and check out the books for sale from the bookselling table, hosted by the Portland bookstore Another Read Through. The book fair is free and open to the public, and can be accessed without registering for the RWP conference.

If you want to get a first look at what the bookstore table has, come visit during the Registration period between 12pm – 1pm, or stop by during conference programming if you are looking for a quiet place to peruse.

4:00pm – 5:30pm: RWP Book Fest Author Meet & Greet (4th Floor, Room 1)

Meet over 20 LGBTQIA romance authors, buy books, grab swag, and enjoy the awesomeness of the RWP book fest!

Other 2017 RWP Conference Activities

* The RWP Book Fest will be open with bookselling and author swag from 12pm – 5:30pm on the 4th floor, Room 1. Bookselling brought to you by the Portland bookstore Another Read Through!

* Loads of free books from authors and publishers will be out for grabbing during registration (12pm – 1pm) in the Microsoft Auditorium.

* The Gay City LGBT Library Book Drive will be held throughout the conference. For every LGBT book donated, a donor will receive a raffle ticket and a chance to win a free Kindle Fire.

Buses to RWP Reading Event at Gay City: Seattle’s LGBTQ Center

For those joining us at the Book Festival, we will have a bus to take attendees to Gay City for the post-conference author reading event.

  • 5:30pm: First Bus for Reading Event
  • 6:10pm: Last Bus for Reading Event
